January 9 Broadcast of “The Search for Accountability” on Federal News Network Will Feature U.S, Dept. of State Deputy Inspector General Diana Shaw

Washington, D.C. – January 5, 2023 – Diana Shaw, Deputy Inspector General (IG), U.S. Department of State, Performing the Duties of Inspector General, will be the featured guest on the January 9 broadcast of “The Search for Accountability,” airing at 2:00 p.m. ET on Federal News Network 1500 AM, hosted by Michael Binder, Director of Graduate School USA’s Government Audit Training Institute.

We will also discuss the great work that federal inspectors general do in pursuing integrity and public trust in government operations.”

 

Ms. Shaw provides leadership in oversight of the vast portfolio of the U.S. Department of State and the U.S. Agency for Global Media services and programs. She leads the Office of Inspector General’s independent and objective audits, inspections and investigations of efficiency and effectiveness, plus efforts to detect and prevent fraud, waste, and abuse. 

 

Prior to her role at the Department of State, Ms. Shaw was Assistant Inspector General and Acting Council to the IG with the U.S. Department of Homeland Security. Prior to government service, she practiced law for nearly a decade in a LLP, White Collar Defense and Corporate Investigations group.

 

Ms. Shaw has a bachelor’s degree from Pepperdine University, a Juris Doctorate from University of Southern California and attended Oxford University. She is licensed to practice law in California and the District of Columbia.
